September 26th, 2011 marked the Sobrato Arts Foundation’s first annual Inspiration Awards Gala Dinner event to honor the contributions of celebrity and industry mentors alike and showcase the hard work and impressive projects the ARTTEC Students produced throughout the year. The gala event was held at the historic Sainte Claire Hotel in downtown San Jose, a location at which ARTTEC Student had previously filmed scenes for the feature film First Dog. The star studded guest list had members from every area of the entertainment industry and included Jamie Hynamen and Adam Savage (The Mythbusters), Eddie Money, Joe Estevez, Pete Escovedo, Paula Devicq, Tim Peyton, Seamus McDonough, Johnny Gunn, Kevin Cadogan, David Jenkins, Michael Gurley, and Brian Michael Stoller just to name a few. The evening included musical performances by Eddie Money, Pete Escovedo, and David Jenkins of Pablo Cruise all of which were back by house band Gurley and the Nightcaps featuring Johnny Gunn.

Sobrato Arts wrapped up the evening by honoring the outstanding individuals who are making career and educational dreams come true for our ARTTEC students in each of the fields that have become vital in the ARTTEC Program.
